F Train Town Hall

This past summer, I called on the MTA to conduct a full line review of the F Train in response to the many constituent complaints I received regarding ongoing service problems.  In October, the MTA released the findings from this review in a comprehensive report (which you can find on my website at: www.squadron.nysenate.gov).

Statement from Senator Martin Malavé Dilan

“The safety of drivers traveling between Vermont and New York must be of the utmost importance, that is why I support Governor Paterson’s decision to replace the Crown Point Bridge. The costs to repair the 80 year-old span are prohibitive compared to the long-term, regional safety and economic gains if the bridge were to be replaced all-together,” said Senator Martin Malavé Dilan, Chair of the Senate Transportation Committee.

Regarding Comptroller DiNapoli's Road and Bridge Report

Cooperation and Patience Ensured the Rebuilding of the Farley Bridge

I was pleased to have played a role in arranging ongoing meetings between the New York State Department of Transportation  (DOT), local officials and community leaders together which resulted in the recent opening of the James A. Farley Memorial Bridge, well ahead of schedule.  This was originally planned as a three year project.
