Summer Public Health Scholars Program

Ten week summer program for underrepresented minority students to increase interest and knowledge of public health and biomedical science careers.

Application deadline is February 14, 2012

Eligible Participants include:

• Students who have completed at least two years of college or re-cent college graduates;
• African American/Black, Hispanic /Latino, American Indian, Alaska Native, Asian American, Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander;
• and/or economically disadvantaged.

SPHSP offerings include: Public Health field experience; seminars and lectures with public health leaders; faculty mentoring; visit to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, GA; and stipend upon program completion.
