Senator George Maziarz and a bipartisan coalition of legislative leaders today called on the Assembly Majority to protect hundreds of thousands of jobs in New York State by passing Energize New York, which would reform and make permanent the State’s low cost power programs (Power for Jobs and the Energy Cost Savings Benefit Program expired June 2nd).
The New York State Senate today gave final passage to legislation (S.5783-A) sponsored by Senator George Maziarz (R-C, Newfane) directing that earnings from the sale of unallocated expansion power and replacement power shall be deposited into a new Western New York Economic Development Fund.
