Grisanti Delivers For Orchard Park: Secures $200,000 For Green Lake Dam Reconstruction

New York State Senator Mark Grisanti, who serves as Chairman of the Senate's Environmental Conservation Committee, announced today that after working with town officials in Orchard Park he has been able to secure $200,000 to help replace Green Lake Dam.

 

Green Lake Dam was recently reclassified by the state Department of Environmental Conservation from an intermediate hazard to a high hazard, which drew concerns from many residents and community stakeholders in Orchard Park.

Senator Grisanti, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy Turn On New Fountain At Hoyt Lake

The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy and Senator Mark Grisanti, Chairman of the Environmental Conservation Committee, celebrate significant steps toward improving water quality in Delaware Park. The Buffalo Olmsted Park Conservancy announces the installation of an impressive new fountain in Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park.  This is a re-creation of the historic fountain installed in 1895, when the lake was known as "The Gala Waters". The new fountain will not only add to the beauty of the park space, but will also help address community concerns regarding the water conditions in Delaware Park's historic lake.

Free Electronics Recycling Event

Senator Mark Grisanti and City of Tonawanda Mayor Ron Pilozzi will host a free electronics recycling event on Saturday, September 28.

The event will take place from 9am to 2pm at Saint Andrew's Country Day School, located at 1545 Elmwood Avenue in the Village of Kenmore.

Computer monitors, laptops, television screens and other electronic items will be accepted.

THE SUN: Hamburg Collaborates With Senator Mark Grisanti On Town-Wide Recycling Event

HAMBURG — The Hamburg Town Hall parking lot was buzzing with activity early on Aug. 17.

Those present for the event collected used TV sets and other obsolete electronic items that were dropped off as part of the first ever E-waste recycling event in Hamburg.

The collaboration was done as part of an initiative between New York State Sen. Mark Grisanti’s office’s “Recycle-Reduce-Reuse” and SunnKing Electronics Recycling, with Time Warner Cable.

A similar recycling/collections event has already taken place in Grand Island, with another scheduled for September in Tonawanda.

Grisanti Announces $400,000 In Funding For Tonawanda

Grisanti Has Six Bills Signed Into Law By Governor

After being highlighted as Western New York's most productive legislator by NYPIRG in early July, Senator Grisanti (R, I - Buffalo) had six bills, of 18 that passed both houses, signed into law today.

NYPIRG released the results from a study of the 2013 New York State Legislative Session found that Sen. Grisanti had the most pieces of legislation pass both the Senate and the Assembly when compared to his colleagues from Western New York.
