First order of business: MTA operation and services

The first order of business taken up by the delegation was a recent meeting with new MTA Chairman Jay Walder, who came to listen to the grievances of the Senators regarding the operation and services provided by his agency.

Hudson Valley Delegation Roundtable

In an effort to ensure the Hudson Valley is fairly represented in all legislative matters before the Senate, local Senators have formed a bipartisan delegation to more effectively advocate for the needs and concerns of their constituents.

Next Order of Business: Budget (February/March 2010)

The next order of business taken up by the Hudson Valley Delegation will be to hold hearings on the Governor's Proposed Executive Budget. The delegation will hold two budget hearings, which are tenetatively scheduled. One in Rockland County and another in Westchester County. The delegation will listen to testimony from interested stakeholders in the region. Then, the delegation will assess how his plan impacts each Senate District as well as the region as a whole.
