From the floor of the New York State Senate, a resolution commemorating Dominican Heritage in New York State.

On Tuesday, February 23, 2010, Senator Rev. Rubén Díaz, Chairman of the New York State Puerto Rican and Hispanic Caucus presented on the floor of the New York State Senate, a resolution commemorating Dominican Heritage in New York State.

This will be the first time in the history of New York State Senate that the Dominican community and its residents will be recognized for their growing contribution to the state in politics, education, faith based institutions, culture and economic development.
