Staff from State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli’s office will be at the
Howard Beach Senior Center on Tuesday, May 5, 2009
checking to see if local residents are owed some of New York’s $9 Billion in unclaimed funds. Residents are invited to stop by and find out if they have unclaimed funds. The center is located at 156-45 84th Street, Howard Beach.
“New York has $9 billion in unclaimed fund accounts. We want to return this money to its rightful owners,” DiNapoli said. “The money belongs to New Yorkers. We want to give it back and Senator Addabbo is helping us do that.”
Senator Addabbo said. “During this tough economic period, I believe that as an elected official, I need to provide the means necessary to financially assist my residents any way I can. I am hopeful that my constituents participate in the unclaimed funds event and that for some it proves to be beneficial.”
