Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick), in conjunction with the Integrated Medical Foundation and Bostwick Laboratories, will be sponsoring a no out-of-pocket cost prostate cancer screening program on Monday, August 9th in Freeport.
Screenings will be conducted on August 9th between 3:30 to 6:30 pm at the Freeport Library, which is located at 144 West Merrick Road in Freeport.
All men are welcome to get screened as part of the program, regardless of whether or not they have insurance. Screenings will include a digital rectal exam and a PSA blood test. Men who will be getting screened must bring with them a photo ID containing an address, such as a driver’s license. Participants will be notified of the exam results. There is no out-of-pocket cost to participate in the program.
Appointments for the screenings will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Men who would like to schedule an appointment should call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
