Ronkonkoma, NY- State Senator Lee M. Zeldin (R, C, I- Shirley) will be announcing the creation of the PFC Joseph Dwyer Program, on Sunday April 1st, 2012, at 1:00 PM.
The PFC Joseph Dwyer Program was formed after a year of meetings between Senator Zeldin, the John P. Jennings Veterans’ Advisory Panel, and experts in the field of diagnosis and treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Senator Zeldin and members of his panel, recently traveled to Albany to provide testimony to the Senate Mental Health committee on their findings. Following this hearing, Senator Zeldin worked with Senator Roy McDonald (R, C, I- Wilton), chairman of the Mental Health Committee, to include funding for the PFC Joseph Dwyer Program in the 2012-2013 General State Budget.
