Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) will be partnering with Town of Hempstead Town Clerk Mark Bonilla and Supervisor Kate Murray in sponsoring a free Senior ID Card Programs in Freeport.

The program will be held on Wednesday, February 29th from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Freeport Memorial Library, located at 144 West Merrick Road in Freeport. All Town of Hempstead residents ages 60 and over are eligible to participate and receive a free senior ID card.

The wallet-sized senior ID card includes a photo and the holder’s personal data, physician’s contact information, and emergency contact phone numbers which could be useful to paramedics in a medical emergency. Allergies and other vital information can also be printed on the cards. The card is also a useful form of non-driver identification and can be helpful in obtaining senior citizen discounts.

There is no fee to obtain a senior ID card.

Residents who would like more information about the free senior ID program on February 29th can call Senator Fuschillo’s office at 516-882-0630.
