Purpose

Prostate Cancer Screening Presented By Integrated Medical Foundation, Inc.

Senator Phil Boyle has partnered with Integrated Medical Foundation, Inc. to host a Prostate Cancer Screening event on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 4 pm – 6 pm at the East Islip Fire Department on 30 East Main Street in East Islip.

Senator Boyle believes that taking preventative measures and raising awareness among members of the community will help reduce the number of people affected by prostate cancer.  According to Integrated Medical Foundation, statistics show that regular screening can lead to early detection of prostate cancer.

At the event, volunteer urologists and medical technicians will provide a free PSA blood test to men.  They will also distribute educational materials related to prostate cancer, preventative care, early detection, and treatment options at the screenings.

If you are interested in receiving a PSA blood test, you must present valid photo identification.  The free prostate cancer screenings are for men over the age of 40 who have not been previously diagnosed with prostate cancer.

If you have any questions or concerns about the event, please contact the District Office at (631) 665-2311.
