Simon Svec PS153Q What are You thankful for I am sure everybody is thankful on thanksgiving because it is a day when you give thanks for what you have. I am thankful for my family, my teachers, that I am not poor and that I live in the 21st century in a peaceful country. I am lucky that I have all of that. I am grateful that I have a family. They take care of me and give me shelter and food so I would survive. Without all that I wouldn’t be alive at all and they love me. I also am appreciative for all the teachers I had. They thought me So much and now I know a lot in math, reading, science, social studies and plus I was in top class first through fifth grade and now I am in gifted and talented because my teachers educated me very well. I am relived that I am not poor like my great grandmother used to be when she was a child. She got her first shoes when she was seven and to get to school she had to walk for about four miles through forest and on road with sharp rocks on it. That is why I am relived that I am not poor. I am also pleased that I don’t live in Africa or Afghanistan and other places with war. Children die there from smoke, bombs, bullets. Here in New York there is no harm and I already am ten so I guess that’s pretty long. In conclusion these are my reasons to why I am thankful because I have a family, good teachers, I am not poor and I live with no war. I am lucky to have all these things.
