The Weller Library in Mohawk is no exception, according to library board President Edward View, who said the building is in need of $60,000 for renovations.

Senator Steve Saland (R,I,C – Poughkeesie), Assemblyman Marc Molinaro (R,I,C – Red Hook) and Sue Crane, Supervisor of the Town of Red Hook, announced the approval of $90,000 to be used toward the restoration efforts of the historic St. Margaret’s Home in the Town of Red Hook.

New York State Senator Frank Padavan (Queens) joined with local historic preservationists and elected officials for the announcement that the historic Bowne House in Flushing has been acquired by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.  The landmark property was donated to the Parks and Recreation Department by the Bowne House Historical Society, which will remain as the organization that will operate the house as a museum.
