6/23/2010: "Dignity For All Students Act"

(Albany, NY) The Senate Democratic Majority announced and celebrated the passage of the landmark ‘Dignity for All Students Act’ (S. 1987B) today at 11:30 AM.

The most comprehensive legislation against harassment in schools to date, the ‘Dignity for All Students Act’ will help reduce the incidences on bullying amongst New York’s youth. This legislation had been stalled in the Senate for several years prior to Democratic leadership.

Youth as Resources 2010 Summer Grant Cycle Kick-off

On Saturday, June 19, Senator Robach joined Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks and the Youth as Resources Program for its 2010 Summer Grant Cycle Kick-off Celebration.

This year, 12 groups will receive grants for projects that will take place throughout the summer.

YAR is a youth philanthropy program of the Rochester-Monroe County Youth Bureau that offers grants of up to $1,000 for youth-planned and implemented community service and service learning projects.
