Web Analytics Report 4/11/10 - 4/24/10

This is the bi-weekly report on the New York State Senate’s web presence. Last week the website received a total of 31897 visits, reversing it's downward trend in traffic from the end of February. It had a bounce rate of 38%, 4 points lower than it’s long term average of 42%, and new visitors 60% of the time, lower than the long term average of 66%. It seems that returning visitors who are looking for specific content are continuing to make up a sizable portion of visitors keeping the bounce rate and new visitors percentage relatively low.

The live webcasting has drawn just over 577483 views since it’s adoption and the archived footage has followed that growth very closely. The NYSenate Youtube channel's attention has slightly outpaced Livestream with 571469 overall visits.

Web Analytics Report 3/28/10 - 4/10/10

This is the bi-weekly report on the New York State Senate’s web presence. Last week the website received a total of 28510 visits, continuing it's decline in traffic from the end of February. It had a bounce rate of 36%, 6 points lower than it’s long term average of 42%, and new visitors 64% of the time, lower than the long term average of 67%. It's likely that, for whatever reason, interest has dropped in Senate content resulting in fewer new users and, therefore, lower overall numbers but higher likelihood of in-depth engagement.
