LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION urging the New York State Congressional delegation to direct the Veterans Administration to build a full service veterans hospital on the grounds of the St. Albans Veterans Facility, St. Albans, New York

WHEREAS, St. Albans Veterans Facility opened in 1943 as the St. Albans Naval Hospital; and

WHEREAS, It was turned over to the United States Veterans Adminis tration (VA) in 1974; currently, the VA is looking to modernize the St. Albans facility; and

The Senate has a Veterans Hall Of Fame, and each Senator can honor a veteran from his or her district. If you know a veteran who should be honored, fill out the form below and it will be submitted to his or her Senator for review.

SENATE PASSES STACHOWSKI BILL TO RENAME ROUTE 20 THE “HIGHWAY OF FALLEN HEROES”

 Senator William T. Stachowski (D, Lake View)  today announced that legislation (S.6748) he sponsors to designate State Route 20 as the "Highway of Fallen Heroes" has been passed by the New York State Senate.

Senator Flanagan Invites Nominees For Veterans' Hall Of Fame

Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) today invited local residents to nominate family members, friends, coworkers and neighborhood leaders for induction into the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame.  Veterans can be nominated for either their service during combat or their notable work performed after discharge from the service.
