On Tuesday, May 25, Senator Robach honored Jodie Perry, president of the Greece Chamber of Commerce as a "Woman of Distinction". The New York Conference of Italian American Legislators 2010

The New York Conference of Italian American Legislators invites you to the 20th Annual Conference on Sunday, June 13th, 2010.  The Conference will be held in the Legislative Office Building which is located across the street from the State Capitol Building in Albany.  Registration opens at 10:30 am with opening remarks beginning at 11:30.  Lunch will be served at 2:00 and the conference concludes with dinner at The State Room at 6:00 pm.  The cost for the Conference is only $35 which includes dinner.

Senator Skelos Honors Magaly Polo as 2010 Woman of Distinction

 

Senate Republican Leader Dean G. Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) recently honored Magaly Polo, community leader from Elmont, as his 2010 Woman of Distinction.  Magaly was honored with other notable women from across the state on May 25, 2010 in Albany.  

 

“I am proud to honor Magaly Polo as my 2010 Woman of Distinction,” said Senator Skelos.  “Magaly is a pillar within the community of Elmont and has worked tirelessly to help others and to improve the quality of life for all residents of Elmont.”

Once again, Speaker Silver and his fellow Democrats are refusing to listen to New York taxpayers who have had enough of taxes and spending by planning a massive tax increase to pay for spending we cannot afford.  New Yorkers have made themselves very clear on the issue of tax hikes, yet the Democrats continue to display their arrogance by pushing for more tax increases.

NYS Conference of Black Senators Unveiled their 2010 Signature Agenda

ALBANY-NY   Yesterday, the NYS Conference of Black Senators (CBS) unveiled their 2010 Signature Agenda issues and expressed their concerns regarding these particular bills not being brought to the Senate floor for a vote. Members of CBS truly believe that African American Communities have suffered long enough within the areas of Economic Development, Education, Health, Housing, Environment, Crime, Racism and Discrimination. Last year, the Conference of Black Senators was very successful with pushing for the passage of the Green Collar Jobs legislation. This year the Conference is hoping to once again bring forth another victory to the African American Communities with passage of the following bills:
