  referred  to  the  Committee  on  Economic  Development, Job Creation,
  Commerce and Industry

AN ACT to amend chapter 84 of the laws of 2002 authorizing the New  York
  state urban development corporation and the dormitory authority of the
  state of New York to issue bonds or notes for the purpose of financing
  certain project costs, in relation to centers of excellence

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision (a) of section 3 of part T of chapter 84 of the
laws of 2002 authorizing the New York  state  urban  development  corpo-
ration  and  the  dormitory  authority of the state of New York to issue
bonds or notes for the purpose of financing certain  project  costs,  is
amended by adding a new paragraph (iii) to read as follows:
  (III)  THE  CENTER  OF  EXCELLENCE  PROGRAM SHALL INCLUDE THE ADVANCED
ENERGY RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER (AERTC) AT THE STATE UNIVERSITY OF
NEW YORK AT STONY BROOK.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
