AN  ACT  to  amend the public authorities law, in relation to the powers
  and duties of the New  York  state  energy  research  and  development
  authority

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision 13 of section 1854 of  the  public  authorities
law,  as  added by chapter 83 of the laws of 1995, is amended to read as
follows:
  13. To act as a central repository and clearinghouse  for  information
on  all  energy  and  energy resource related matters INCLUDING, BUT NOT
LIMITED TO, THE AVAILABILITY AND USE OF THE MOST  ENERGY  EFFICIENT  AND
ENVIRONMENTALLY  SENSITIVE  OUTDOOR  LIGHTING  AVAILABLE  FOR PUBLIC AND
PRIVATE USES.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
