TITLE OF BILL:
An act
to amend the New York state urban development corporation act, in
relation
to the USA Niagara Corporation

PURPOSE:
TO expand USA Niagara Corporation to include all of the city
of Niagara Falls

SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS:
Section one amends the New York
state urban development corporation act to add a new subdivision
stating, the USA Niagara Corporation created pursuant to this section
shall be reconstituted to include the entirety of the city of Niagara
Falls.

Section two provides the effective date.

JUSTIFICATION:
Currently USA Niagara Corporation includes only a
portion of the city of Niagara Falls, this legislation would expand
it to the entirety of the city. With this expansion, greater
development can take place in order to improve the quality of life
within the city of Niagara Falls. As a result of this legislation,
there will be provided new opportunities for new small businesses and
tourists will be more likely to visit the city.

PRIOR LEGISLATIVE HISTORY:
None.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS:
None to the state.

EFFECTIVE DATE:
This act shall take effect on the one hundred
twentieth day after it shall have become a law.

AN ACT to amend the New York state urban development corporation act, in
  relation to the USA Niagara Corporation

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 12 of section 1 of chapter 174 of the laws of 1968,
constituting the New York state urban development  corporation  act,  is
amended by adding a new subdivision 5 to read as follows:
  (5)  NOTWITHSTANDING  ANY  RESOLUTIONS,  RULES  OR  REGULATIONS TO THE
CONTRARY, THE USA NIAGARA CORPORATION CREATED PURSUANT TO  THIS  SECTION
SHALL  BE  RECONSTITUTED  TO INCLUDE THE ENTIRETY OF THE CITY OF NIAGARA
FALLS.
  S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
it shall have become a law. Effective immediately, the addition,  amend-
ment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the implemen-
tation  of this act on its effective date is authorized to be made on or
before such date.
