AN ACT in relation to authorizing the Bay Park fire district  to  refund
  and pay a portion of the existing funds in its capital reserve account
  to the taxpayers of the district

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions set forth in section 6-g  of
the  general  municipal  law,  the Bay Park fire district in the town of
Hempstead, county of Nassau, is hereby authorized to transfer any  unex-
pended  funds contained in the district's existing capital reserve fund;
to any fund legally established by  such  district  including,  but  not
limited  to  its general fund in order to provide property tax relief to
the property owners of the district.
  S 2. Such transfer shall be of an amount to be  determined  by  resol-
ution of the board of fire commissioners of the district.
  S  3.  This  authorization  shall  apply  only  to funds placed in the
district's capital reserve account prior to the effective date  of  this
act, and any interest thereon.
  S 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
