AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to the installa-
  tion of certain energy technologies

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Paragraphs (l) and (m) of subdivision 12 of section 1891 of
the public authorities law, as added by chapter 487 of the laws of 2009,
are amended and a new paragraph (n) is added to read as follows:
  (l) installation of carbon monoxide detectors and indoor environmental
testing  and mitigation deemed necessary as a result of the provision of
other qualified energy efficiency services; [and]
  (m) fuel switching to convert an  electrically-heated  building  to  a
more efficient heating source provided that significant energy cost-sav-
ings  can  be  demonstrated  pursuant  to  standards  established by the
authority[.]; AND
  (N) INSTALLATION OF ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES ELIGIBLE FOR NET ENERGY METER-
ING PURSUANT TO SECTION SIXTY-SIX-J OR SIXTY-SIX-L OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE
LAW.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
