S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 9770 I N A S S E M B L Y May 21, 2014 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. O'DONNELL -- read once and referred to the Committee on Correction AN ACT to amend the correction law, in relation to making technical corrections thereto THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 500 of the correction law, as added by chapter 604 of the laws of 1987, is amended to read as follows: S 500. Application of article. The provisions of this article shall apply to all local correctional facilities as defined by subdivision [fifteen] SIXTEEN of section two of this chapter. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14672-01-4
