MORELLE -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to the allocation of funds under the supportive housing development program THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 8 of section 2823 of the public health law is renumbered subdivision 9 and a new subdivision 8 is added to read as follows: 8. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY PROVISION OF LAW TO THE CONTRARY, NO LESS THAN TEN MILLION DOLLARS OF GRANTS UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL BE ALLOCATED TO PROJECTS IN COUNTIES WITH CITIES THAT HAVE POPULATIONS OF LESS THAN ONE MILLION PEOPLE. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14752-01-4
