BILL NUMBER:S1006A

TITLE OF BILL: An act to provide for the determination of actual
valuation for the Cambridge central school district

PURPOSE: Provides for the determination of actual valuation for the
Cambridge central school district.

SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS:

Section 1- Provides for the determination of the actual valuation for
the Cambridge Central School District.

Section 2- Contains the effective date.

JUSTIFICATION: The Cambridge Central School Districts actual
valuation has increased by 107.4 percent since 2003. As such the
school aid formula calculation for the Cambridge Central School
District does not adequately reflect the district needs.

This bill will allow the formula to utilize the 2011 actual valuation
rates rather than the 2010 rates.

LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: 2012 S. 7616 Referred to Education

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: To be determined

EFFECTIVE DATE: This act shall take effect immediately
