TITLE OF BILL: An act authorizing the county of Erie to transfer
certain land to the town of Newstead

This legislation would authorize the transfer of certain parklands (a
portion of "Akron Falls Park"), consisting of approximately 131 acres
of land situated in the County of Erie, Town of Newstead.

JUSTIFICATION:

Legislative approval will facilitate the Town's plans to assume
operation and maintenance of a portion of this county park. It is the
Town's intention to keep the land conveyed open to residents of the
Town of Newstead and County of Erie for recreational purposes. This is
a procedural issue and there will be no loss of parkland.
