BILL NUMBER:S6174 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 463 of the laws of 2000 relating to authorizing the village of Saugerties to lease the waterfront park land and convey a right of way to the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc., in relation to authorizing such lease and conveyance to the Arm of the Sea Productions, Inc. PURPOSE: This bill will re-convey certain rights and leaseholds, originally conveyed in the year 2000, from the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, to Arm of the Sea Productions, Inc. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 amends Section 1 of chapter 463 of the laws of 2000, withdrawing the original conveyance of a right of way from the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, and granting it instead, to the not-for-profit Arm of the Sea Productions, Inc. Section 2 makes the act effective immediately. JUSTIFICATION: In 2000, a joint proposal was put forward by the Village of Saugerties

TKACZYK -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to amend chapter 463 of the laws of 2000 relating to authorizing the village of Saugerties to lease the waterfront park land and convey a right of way to the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc., in relation to authorizing such lease and conveyance to the Arm of the Sea Productions, Inc. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 1 of chapter 463 of the laws of 2000 relating to authorizing the village of Saugerties to lease the waterfront park land and convey a right of way to the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc., is amended to read as follows: Section 1. Subject to the provisions of this act but notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the village of Saugerties, located in the county of Ulster, is hereby authorized, acting by and through its village board and upon such terms and conditions as determined by such board, to lease for a period not to exceed twenty-five years the water- front park lands which are more particularly described in section two of this act, and to provide a right of way easement through park lands more particularly described in section three of this act, to the [Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, Inc.] ARM OF THE SEA PRODUCTIONS, INC.
