AN  ACT  to  amend  the  public  health  law,  in  relation  to  smoking
  restrictions

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 1399-o of  the  public  health  is
amended by adding a new paragraph c to read as follows:
  C.  WITHIN  FIFTEEN FEET OF ANY DESIGNATED SCHOOL BUS STOP BETWEEN THE
HOURS OF SIX ANTE MERIDIAN AND EIGHT ANTE MERIDIAN, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF
TWO POST MERIDIAN AND SIX POST MERIDIAN, AND ANY OTHER TIME DURING WHICH
STUDENTS MAY BE BOARDING OR ALIGHTING FROM A SCHOOL BUS AT  SUCH  SCHOOL
BUS STOPS.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
