WRIGHT -- read once and referred to the Committee on Labor AN ACT requiring the New York state department of labor to restore the New York state unemployment insurance telephone claims center back to the New York city area THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The New York state department of labor shall restore the New York state unemployment insurance telephone claims center back to the New York city area. Staffing levels shall be restored to pre-April 12, 2005 status, including but not limited to the retention of the 49 employees who may want to return to such positions, such employees who were transferred to other departments and certain retirees who felt forced to retire due to the movement of such offices from lower Manhat- tan to Troy, New York. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD04746-01-5
