BILL NUMBER:S5874 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend chapter 595 of the laws of 2007 amending the parks, recreation and historic preservation law relating to establishing the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor commission in Buffalo, in relation to extending the effective ness thereof PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: To extend the enacting language for the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor that will sunset on December 31st of 2015 until December 31st of 2017. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: This bill amends Section 3 of Chapter 595 of the Laws of 2007 to extend Article 41 of the Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Law to December 31, 2017. Which amends the parks, recreation and historic preservation law relating to establishing the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor Commission in Buffalo. Chapter 275 of the laws of 2013 is amended to read as follows: This act shall take effect immediately, provided that section two of this act shall expire and be deemed repealed December 31, 2017. KENNEDY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend chapter 595 of the laws of 2007 amending the parks, recreation and historic preservation law relating to establishing the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor commission in Buffalo, in relation to extending the effective ness thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 595 of the laws of 2007, amending the parks, recreation and historic preservation law relating to establishing the Michigan Street African American Heritage Corridor commission in Buffalo, as amended by chapter 275 of the laws of 2013, is amended to read as follows: S 3. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that section two of this act shall expire and be deemed repealed December 31, [2015] 2017. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
