S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 9510 I N A S S E M B L Y March 16, 2022 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. CUSICK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend chapter 306 of the laws of 2011, authorizing owners of residential real property in high risk brush fire areas in the borough of Staten Island to cut and remove reeds from their property, in relation to extending the expiration and repeal date thereof for an additional year THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 306 of the laws of 2011, authorizing owners of residential real property in high risk brush fire areas in the borough of Staten Island to cut and remove reeds from their property, as amended by chapter 115 of the laws of 2021, is amended to read as follows: § 3. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be deemed repealed December 31, [2022] 2023. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14714-01-2
