CONGRATULATING Jade Rumble upon the occasion of
capturing the 102-pound wrestling title at the 2022
New York State Girls Wrestling Championships

WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly sought after
in high school sports; this Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special recognition to those who pursue such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Athletic competition helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate Jade
Rumble upon the occasion of capturing the 102-pound wrestling title at
the New York State Girls Wrestling Championships on Saturday, March 5,
2022, at Tamarac High School in Troy, New York; and

WHEREAS, In front of a capacity crowd and a fan base of family,
friends and teammates, Jade Rumble pinned her first two competitors in
the first period, and in the championship finals, her opponent declined
to wrestle after watching her matches, henceforth, earning a forfeit and
the title; and

WHEREAS, A standout wrestler for the Warrensburg Burgers, Jade
Rumble ended her season with an impressive overall record; during the
New York State Duals Championship, she pinned Warrensburg's last
competitor in the quarterfinals, advancing her team to the semifinals
where the Burgers placed third in the team tournament; and

WHEREAS, In a sport such as wrestling, which demands athletic
prowess, speed and agility, Coach Mark Trapasso worked hard to hone the
skills of this champion, teaching this outstanding athlete lessons which
will prove invaluable both on and off the mat; and

WHEREAS, Jade Rumble has clearly utilized dedication, determination
and teamwork in providing a lasting contribution to the spirit of
excellence which is a tradition of her school; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Jade Rumble upon the occasion of capturing the 102-pound
wrestling title at the 2022 New York State Girls Wrestling
Championships; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jade Rumble and Coach Mark Trapasso.
