LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Emilio Manzo upon the occasion of his
designation as Community Person of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce
of the Bellmores

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those who would
devote themselves to the welfare of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Emilio Manzo has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Emilio Manzo
upon the occasion of his designation as Community Person of the Year by
the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores, to be celebrated on Saturday,
January 19, 2013, in Woodbury, New York; and
WHEREAS, This special event, titled "Luau", is the Chamber of Commerce
of the Bellmores' 2013 Installation Dinner Dance; festivities will be
held at the Woodbury Country Club; and
WHEREAS, President of Community Wellness Council of the Bellmores and
Merricks, Inc., Emilio Manzo has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Emilio Manzo has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Emilio Manzo has displayed through-
out his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED,That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Emilio Manzo upon the occasion of his designation as Community
Person of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce of the Bellmores; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Emilio Manzo.
