LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Nathan Giordano and Tara Murphy upon the
occasion of their designation as recipients of the Landscape Architect
Open Spaces Leadership Award by the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
organizations and individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Nathan Giordano and Tara Murphy upon the occasion of their designation
as recipients of the Landscape Architect Open Spaces Leadership Award by
the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy, to be celebrated on Tuesday, April
9, 2013, at the Creo Restaurant in Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, Nathan Giordano and Tara Murphy are neighbors and stewards of
Wolf Creek Falls Preserve; they look after the land for the Mohawk
Hudson Land Conservancy, serve as its guardians, and are involved with
its general upkeep such as lawn mowing, snow removal, and trail clear-
ing; and
WHEREAS, True assets to society, Nathan Giordano and Tara Murphy's
distinguished record merits the recognition and respectful tribute of
this Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Nathan Giordano and Tara Murphy upon the occasion of their desig-
nation as recipients of the Landscape Architect Open Spaces Leadership
Award by the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Nathan Giordano and Tara Murphy.
