LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Richard K. Milewicz, C.P.A. upon the
occasion of his designation as recipient of the Lifetime Achiever of the
Year Award by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding individuals whose professional lives, personal endeavors and
community service are an example and inspiration to their colleagues,
friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Richard K. Milewicz, C.P.A. upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Lifetime Achiever of the Year Award by the Clarence
Chamber of Commerce; this auspicious occasion will be celebrated at the
Chamber's Annual Awards Dinner, to be held on Thursday, February 28,
2013, at Samuel's Grande Manor; and
WHEREAS, Richard K. Milewicz is a 1966 graduate of the University of
New York at Buffalo with a B.S. degree in Business Administration; upon
graduation, he served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army;
and
WHEREAS, After several years in public accounting, Richard K. Milewicz
served as Deputy County Comptroller-Audit from 1986-1987; in January,
1988, he opened his own accounting office in the Town of Clarence, New
York; and
WHEREAS, Richard K. Milewicz is a member of the American Institute of
CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs; he has served as president
of the Cheektowaga Jaycees, the Clarence Rotary Club and the Profes-
sional and Businessmen's Association where in 2010, he was named their
"Man of the Year"; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Richard K. Milewicz has served as a Director of
the Clarence Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as Treasurer of
the Clarence-Newstead Meals on Wheels Task Force, and as advisor to the
Clarence Rotary Club Foundation, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, Richard K. Milewicz has always taken an active part of any
community to which he belongs; he has given of his time, knowledge and
resources to help various organizations and causes to reach their goals;
and
WHEREAS, Richard K. Milewicz and his wife, Fran, are the proud parents
of two children, Richard II and Darbi; they are blessed with three
granddaughters and three grandsons; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Richard K. Milewicz
has stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor, and has earned the
respect and admiration of his colleagues, family and friends; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Richard K. Milewicz has displayed
throughout his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Richard K. Milewicz, C.P.A. upon the occasion of his designation
as recipient of the Lifetime Achiever of the Year Award by the Clarence
Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Richard K. Milewicz.
