LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Eric Frances upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the 2013 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT
Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Eric Frances has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Eric Frances
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the 2013
SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, Eric Frances is the Chief Financial Officer and General
Manager of the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts; he manages the logis-
tical and financial operations of the 15,000-seat outdoor amphitheater
and museum located on the original site of the 1969 Woodstock festival;
and
WHEREAS, Prior to assuming his current position, Eric Frances served
as director of financial reporting for Mediacom Communications Corpo-
ration, the nation's eighth largest cable operator based in Middletown,
New York; he also held the title of operational controller for Sybari
Software, an enterprise software security subsidiary of Microsoft Corpo-
ration; and
WHEREAS, Eric Frances has also served as a senior associate for Price-
waterhouseCoopers, providing financial advisory and audit services to
private and public entities regarding IPOs, merger and acquisitions and
related SEC matters for the firm's Technology Information Communications
and Entertainment practice; and
WHEREAS, Eric Frances received a Bachelor of Science degree from
Babson College, graduating magna cum laude; he is a Certified Public
Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor, a member of the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Internal
Auditors and the International Ticketing Association; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Eric Frances has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Eric Frances upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the 2013 SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT Men at Work Edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Eric Frances.
