LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Edward S. Walsh, P.E., upon the
occasion of his designation as Honoree of the Cathedral Club of Brook-
lyn, New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those distinguished citizens who devote their time and ener-
gies to the service of their community and profession, participating in
civic affairs and enhancing the character and quality of life for all
citizens; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Edward S. Walsh, P.E., upon the occasion of his designation as
Honoree of the Cathedral Club of Brooklyn, New York; this auspicious
occasion will be celebrated at the Club's 113th Anniversary Dinner, to
be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the New York Marriott Marquis,
1535 Broadway, New York, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Cathedral Club of Brooklyn is a Catholic lay organization
founded in the Diocese of Brooklyn, on March 1, 1900; the object of the
founders of the Club was to make it the principal Catholic Club in the
Diocese of Brooklyn and to advance Catholic interests, to promote the
moral improvement of its members, to foster among them a true Catholic
spirit, and by frequent social intercourse to unite them more closely in
the pursuance of these ends; and
WHEREAS, Entering its second century, Cathedral Club of Brooklyn, New
York, looks forward to its future, keeping in mind the original intent
and objectives of its founders; and
WHEREAS, Edward S. Walsh, P.E., is currently the Principal and Manag-
ing Director of Project Management for Avison Young; prior to joining
Avison Young, he was the founder and President of The Walsh Company, a
multi-service advisory organization specializing in client represen-
tation and project management services; and
WHEREAS, Established in 2003, the Walsh Company was developed by
Edward S. Walsh into a successful firm of fifty-plus employees based in
Morristown, New Jersey; with offices in White Plains, New York; Boston,
Massachusetts; and Washington, D.C., it was ranked by NJBIZ in 2009 and
2010 as one of the "Top Companies to work for in New Jersey"; and
WHEREAS, The Walsh Company was recognized throughout the real estate
and construction industries for its quality of service and steadfast
dedication to their clients; and
WHEREAS, Edward S. Walsh began his career with Boswell Engineering; he
held subsequent positions with Bomar Builders, and served for over 10
years as Senior Vice President at Gale and Wentworth; and
WHEREAS, Edward S. Walsh holds a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engi-
neering from Villanova University and is a registered Professional Engi-
neer in the state of New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, Actively involved in helping to raise funds for several
nonprofit organizations in Morris and Somerset counties in New Jersey,
Edward S. Walsh has been recognized for his philanthropic efforts on
behalf of the American Cancer Society, Somerset Hills Learning Insti-
tute, Interfaith Food Pantry of Morristown and Family Service of Morris
County; and
WHEREAS, Edward S. Walsh resides in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, with
his wife of 22 years and three daughters ages 18, 16 and 14; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Edward S. Walsh has
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Edward S. Walsh has displayed
throughout his life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their profession and community,
and have shown a long and sustained commitment to excellence, certainly
have earned the recognition and applause of all citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Edward S. Walsh, P.E., upon the occasion of his designation
as Honoree of the Cathedral Club of Brooklyn, New York; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Edward S. Walsh.
