From today's Star-Gazette, "Just in time for Elmira's "Celebrate 150" party on Friday, decorations were going up Thursday in the form of new signs at intersections from Second to Water streets and from Main Street to Madison Avenue. The sesquicentennial sign project in Elmira's central business district is hoped to promote a sense of community and emphasize the importance of neighborhood preservation and revitalization.
