Klein Announces Over $200,000 In Local Grants
I will continue to work tirelessly to make sure that our communities get our fair share from Albany and look forward to seeing this funding put to good use by our local governments”, Klein continued.
Grants awarded in the 34th Senate District include:
Active Records grants improve electronic filing systems, develop disaster preparedness plans and redesign office operations to make maintenance of records more efficient. Inventory and Planning funds are used to survey and inventory records, assess needs, and develop and implement plans for records management. Lastly, Historical Records projects help local governments preserve and support public use of records that have special, historical value.
The grants were provided by the Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund (LGRMIF), which was created by the Legislature to distribute fees collected by County Clerks’ offices.
