Klein Co-hosts Dmv Mobil Outreach Program
Fordham Road. DMV responded by offering to hold a Mobile Outreach Event in Senator Klein's district office to provide services for area residents in a more convenient setting. Individuals renewed licenses and were able to apply for non-driver I.D.'s, among other services. The Mobile Outreach unit proved to be an efficient solution, offering individuals all the services of the DMV in the convenience of their own neighborhood.
“As we age it becomes increasingly difficult to gain access to the same services we once enjoyed easily in our youth. It is to their credit, that the DMV has created such an accessible method of reaching individuals with physical limitations. I am pleased that so many people were able to take advantage of this exceptional resource,” said Senator Klein.
The DMV Mobile Outreach program provides on-site processing equipment to issue and renew learner permits, drivers’ licenses and non-driver photo identification cards. Individuals were happy to have made appointments and moved steadily along the line, working swiftly through the system.
