NYS Senator Eric Adams Joins 9/11 Emergency First Responders

Brooklyn) and Civil Rights Attorney Norman Siegel will join a group of 9/11 emergency first responders in a press conference to release a letter sent to NYS Health Commissioner Richard F. Daines, M.D.  The letter urges Commissioner Daines to use his authority to review and override any 9/11 related death certificates that fail to classify properly the cause of death as attributable to injuries sustained as a result of the attack on the World Trade Center.  Senator Adams will also announce introduction of a bill in the NYS Senate modifying NYS Public Health Law sections 4141 and 4143 to provide greater accuracy in the appropriate classification of cause of death for victims of toxic exposures at ground zero.
