SENATOR FUSCHILLO HELPS WANTAGH SCOUTS LEARN ABOUT CITIZENSHIP
New York State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently helped cub scouts from Pack 191 in Wantagh learn about government and citizenship. The scouts were learning about the topics as part of the requirements to get their citizen activity badges.
Senator Fuschillo spoke with the scouts about his job as a Senator and how ideas are turned into laws. To illustrate the legislative process, Senator Fuschillo had the scouts propose an idea, debate its merit, and then vote on whether it should become a law.
Afterwards, Senator Fuschillo answered questions from the scouts.
Senator Fuschillo is pictured as he speaks to scouts to Pack 191 at Wantagh Elementary School.
