State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently welcomed Glenndon Gifford, a student at Wantagh High School, to the State Capitol in Albany, where he was performing as part of the New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) annual “Music In Our Schools Month.”

Glenndon, a trumpet player, performed with the All-State Instrumental Jazz Ensemble in the Empire State Plaza for an audience of legislators, staff members, and capitol visitors. Senator Fuschillo attended the performance and  congratulated Glenndon on being selected as an All-State Musician.

“Through many hours of practice and hard work, Glenndon was chosen from thousands of students from all across the state who auditioned for this prestigious ensemble. He is a very talented student and a fine representative of his community. I am proud to congratulate him on earning a place among an elite group of his peers,” said Senator Fuschillo.
