Senator Klein Presents Grant To Throggs Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corps

BRONX, NY – State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester), a member of the Senate Finance Committee, visited the Throggs Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corps today to present them with a $5,000 state grant he secured for them in the state budget. The funding will help supplement the Ambulance Corps Operating budget.

“It is very important that our first-responders have the absolutely best equipment available to them,” said Senator Klein. “The Throggs Neck Volunteer Ambulance Corps provides a tremendous service to this community, and I am honored to have secured a donation for their worthy cause.”

Peter Fernandez, Chief of Operations for the Throggs Neck Ambulance Corps said “We are very pleased that Senator Klein was able to secure this funding for our operations. Senator Klein has been a very good friend to us and I know the state funds which he secured for us will help us better serve the community.”
