State Senator Malcolm S. Smith (D-Queens) today announced Todd Smith’s "JUMP & BALL" basketball and double-dutch tournament will take place through the month of August into Labor Day weekend. Specifically, the basketball tournament will consist of 2 divisions with 80 kids per division, playing in a "Win or Go Home" game. The double-dutch competition, which is primarily female, will consist of 8 teams, showcasing their creativity, skill and talent. Both tournaments will be held at the Daniel M. "I am so pleased to see that LL Cool J is still giving back to his community and this is just the beginning. I know that this tournament will serve as an exciting summer sporting event to the children and families of St. Albans, and I would like to commend LL Cool J for his dedication to the Queens community" said Senator Smith.
In addition to the basketball and double-dutch competitions, there will be surprise showcases.
