    New York state senators are migratory creatures. When the Legislature is in session, they tend to spend half the week in Albany and half the week at home in their districts. For Senator Diane J. Savino, 46, a Democrat who represents parts of Staten Island and Brooklyn, Sunday is a day of transition. She wakes up in Staten Island and heads to Albany in time to have dinner with her boyfriend and fellow Democratic senator, Jeffrey D. Klein, and, often, a group of other legislators. ELIZABETH A.     EARLY RISER I generally get up every day at 6:30 a.m., even if I don’t want to. It’s force of habit. I just wake up. And I’m one of those people who are like the Energizer rabbit; once I’m up, I’m up!


    COFFEE AND NEWS The first thing I do every morning is flip through The Empire Page and all the papers across the state. Then I go back to The Empire Page. This is coffee time. And then after I read all the newspapers, and I get myself either aggravated or inspired — either one, depending on the day — the next thing I do is start calling people
