Sen. Stavisky With Subway Hero

Senator Stavisky Welcomes Subway Super-hero to Senate Chamber State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky was proud to welcome Wesley Autrey, who heroically saved another subway commuter's life, to the State Senate chamber. Earlier this month, Mr. Autrey jumped onto the subway tracks to shield another commuter who had fallen, covering the victim as a train passed over the two of the them, thereby saving the young man's life. Along with the rest of the State Senate, Senator Stavisky presented Mr. Autrey with a citation, honoring this hero for his selflessness and altruism.
