Sen. Stavisky cleans graffiti in her district

The program, set to begin June 1, 2010, will focus on addressing both small commercial sectors of the district as well as residential areas. District residents can call Senator Stavisky’s office to report graffiti locations. Subsequently these locations will be inspected and any graffiti will be removed.

Stavisky stated, “Graffiti is an eyesore in any neighborhood. It is not only an annoyance to residents, but is also a serious quality of life issue that can have negative economic consequences for homeowners and businesses alike. In order to address this problem on a comprehensive district wide basis, I obtained a $25,000 grant to hire City Solve, a business that specializes in graffiti removal.”

“City Solve will begin painting over or spray washing existing graffiti on the major shopping strips in my district,” added Stavisky. “They will re-inspect and paint or wash as necessary. In addition, City Solve will address other graffiti problem locations as directed. This program provides graffiti removal services free of charge to business owners and homeowners.”
