National Night Out

National Night Out is a national movement that began in 1984 as part of "an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back ". Every year, Senator Stewart-Cousins participates in National Night Out to encourage police-community partnerships throughout her district. This year, she was at the at the 3rd Precinct in Yonkers and at the Public Safety Highway in White Plains where she met with constituents and the media and spoke of the importance of neighborhood camaraderie.
