Buchanan, Chief Fire Controlman Ralph Anderson

 

    Chief Fire Controlman Anderson served in the U.S. Navy from 1940 – 1946. He is a recipient of numerous medals including the NYS Conspicuous Service Cross, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Thearter Medal, the Philippines Liberation Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Medal with two stars, the American Defense Medal with one star and the Victory Medal. Chief Fire Controlman Anderson also served as a VA Hospital Safety Officer.

    Lieutenant General Joseph Anderson was in attendance at the Hall of Fame Ceremony to accept an award on behalf of his father, Ralph Anderson of Buchanan. Lieutenant General Joseph Anderson is a three-star general in command of the XVIII Airborne Corp and Fort Bragg.
